The short answer
- Law firms may pay to advertise with us. That's how the site is paid for. Reading it costs you nothing.
- Advertisers have no say in what we publish. They can't change a page, buy a better position or see your answers.
- Nothing is passed on unless you ask. Today the site collects no contact details at all.

Who pays us
The Accident Advisory is paid for by personal injury law firms that advertise with us. That is the only way the site makes money. We don’t charge readers, sell subscriptions or put guides behind a sign-up.
Advertisers have no say in what we publish. They can’t edit or approve a page, they can’t buy a better position in a guide or a list, and they aren’t told what any reader reads. Our editorial policy applies to every page in the same way.
What happens to your details
At the moment the site collects no contact details. The free case assessment asks what happened, when and where, and shows your next steps on the screen. It doesn’t ask for your name, email or phone number, and your answers aren’t sent to anyone.
If we later add an option to be contacted by a law firm, it will work like this:
- It will be optional, and only for people who ask for it.
- Before you send anything, the screen will name the firm that would receive your details, and you’ll be asked to agree.
- Only that firm will receive them. The firm pays us for advertising; you pay nothing.
- This page and our privacy policy will be updated before the option goes live.
States where we don't pass on details
We don’t pass on contact details from people in Colorado, California or Texas, whatever they choose. People in those states can use every guide, tool and table on the site, and the case assessment shows them their next steps as usual.
Participating firms by state
No firms advertise with us yet. When they do, each one will be listed here by name, with the states it covers.
What we are not
We are not a law firm, and we don’t give legal advice. We don’t recommend particular lawyers or law firms, and we aren’t a lawyer referral service. A firm advertising with us doesn’t mean we have checked or endorse it.
The Accident Advisory provides free, general information and is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using this site does not create an attorney–client relationship.
General information, not legal advice. The Accident Advisory is not a law firm. Laws differ by state and change over time.
